Commercial Site Selection Model (Real Time Web Enacted Innovation)

The Wharton GIS Lab is committed to provide innovative tools to assist business professionals in their decision making. The Site Selection tool is an example of the capacity that can be performed within the GIS lab. The site selection tool was developed using statistical modeling and software application resources in conjunction with the management of a major retail firm. Specialized code was written for managers to link on-the-fly econometrically derived sales forecasting capacity to a centralized database at workstations or in the field.
